There are many wonderful stories and poems in my first children's book.  Here are a few for you to read.  Enjoy!!

Little Faerie Without Wings

Once upon an evening mist
In the firefly lit faerie glen
Celebrations were underway
To welcome little faerie baby Wren

Proud were Wren's expectant parents,
Mom and Dad with their blue wings so bright.
But to their shock baby Wren arrived
With no faerie wings in sight!!

A scandal! A mutant!
The faerie glen was all in a tizzy!
Rumors of curses, plagues and dark magic
Were driving poor Wren's parents dizzy!!!

Now little Wren grew older
Not knowing why everyone stayed away.
She was simply born different, misunderstood;
No real reason to be afraid!!

Wren's mom and dad tried everything
To create what their poor daughter lacked,
Such as dressing her in sparkly clothes
And gluing wings of blue fabric to her back!!

Wren's mom and dad even flew her
High into the trees
Hoping to scare her wings to grow
If she felt the warm western breeze.

Clearly Wren was not ready to fly
Even if she was dressed like a faerie.
Wren's wings were destined to grow
When they were good and ready!!

Wren's parents were at the end of their ideas
When helped arrived one crisp autumn's day
Genevieve and Ginger Gypsy bunny
Happened to be traveling that way.

Genevieve and Ginger listened to the trouble
And knew exactly what to do.
A little gypsy magick was just the trick
To bring about needed changes anew!!

Genevieve and Ginger took Wren aside
To have a little talk.
They needed to learn more about Wren
So they took her alone on a walk.

Wren's parents wanted her to be like them
With sparkling wings of bright blue,
But Wren wanted to create her own path
For which Wren's parents never knew.

Genevieve and Ginger took Wren home
And created a simple plan.
They created a magickal dust
And placed it carefully into Wren's hands.

They told Wren to make a special wish
While blowing the dust into the wind,
"If you believe in yourself, your wish will come true,
And you'll have your wings in the end!"

Wren and her parents went to bed that night
Expecting morning to bring bright wings of blue.
When Wren awoke feeling something had changed,
She knew her wish had come true!!

But to Wren's shock at her mirrored reflection
Her wings weren't blue at all!
They were blazing oranges, reds and yellows,
All the crisp colors of fall!!!

Wren was thrilled with her bright new wings,
Her parents, however, were causing quite a stink!
Their daughter without bright sparkly wings of blue,
What would the faerie glen think!!

Wren and her parents found Genevieve and Ginger
And demanded a prompt explanation
What Gypsy trickery was this they cried?
Launching an immediate investigation!!!

Genevieve and Ginger simply smiled to each other
Then at Wren and her mom and dad.
"Wren was born without wings", Genevieve said,
"Cause while in the womb, you made her mad!"

"Before Wren could become herself" Genevieve continued,
"You planned who she should be,
Never allowing her true self out
For Wren to develop naturally!"

"We only did a magick trick,
Wren did the real magick on her own.
She decided to believe in herself,
Not the path for her you have sown."

"No matter how you dressed Wren,
She's only happy being who she's meant to be.
You can dye the ocean the red of deep wine,
But it will always taste of the salty sea."

Genevieve finished and Wren's parents understood,
Bowing their heads in shame.
They only wanted what was best for their daughter
And responsibly took the blame.

Wren hugged her parents saying
"I'll always be your little girl.
I just have my own identity now
And can finally fly proud in the faerie world!"

Wren had found her wings to fly,
She had them inside her all along.
She only needed to believe in herself,
To dance and sing to her own songs!

Wren and her parents were thankful
Genevieve and Ginger stopped by that day.
The faeries of the glen held a feast for them
Just a few more moments of dance and play.

Genevieve had one last bit of wisdom
To share with her faerie friends.
They recently carved it in a pretty stone
In the center of the faerie glen.

"It's not what you put on outside
That makes you who you are,
It's what you let out from within
That makes you shine brightest by far!!

Genevieve and Ginger Gypsy Bunny
Merrily waved goodbye as the day was done
Not knowing what adventure will find them next
But knowing what will come,
Will indeed come.

The end!!

Daisy, Rotating

Barefoot in the Daisies

Puffy bunnies dance barefoot in the daisies
Blessed by happy warm spring tears
Feeling the grass tickle between their paws
As whispering winds serenade long bunny ears

Embraced by golden sunbeams
Little bunny auras glow
Radiating joy and happiness
Wherever they may go

Bounding along with butterflies
Bunnies merrily play together
With no worries to hold them down
They hop lighter than a feather

I wish to dance barefoot in the daisies
With enchanted bunnies until the day is done
May all my friends come join us
In this fluffy delight under the sun
